What We Offer
The home provides a wide selection of groups and activities led by project staff
(including the Occupational Therapy service) and residents.
Groups that have been offered in the home include Staying Well Recovery, Food & Mood Lunch, Relaxation, Music Appreciation, Breakfast & Newspapers, Wii Sports, Football and Social Situations.
A recovery-focused model is used to support and enable resident’s independence in their activities of daily living, including budgeting and
cooking skills.
We encourage medication education and compliance, symptom management, enhanced
coping strategies and social functioning, and crisis prevention and management.
The home will whenever possible and practicable, support any resident’s wish to pursue their interests, initially with 1:1 staff time leading through
to independence.
Staff support residents in our homely environment to entertain guests in
communal areas and also respect an individual’s need for privacy in their own rooms.
The home has created links with various community centres and services,
including mental health and medical services, colleges and vocational
rehabilitation services.
Residents are encouraged and supported to explore self-funded activities,
outings and day trips.
